Bryan Gelman

Bryan Gelman is the owner and co-founder of Albert Gelman Inc. He brings over 20 years of experience guiding individuals and small to mid-sized businesses through complex, high-stakes insolvency and restructuring matters. As a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), he is trusted for steady leadership on mandates where the path forward must be defined quickly and communicated clearly to multiple stakeholders.

Serving as a strategic advisor across the firm’s assignments, Bryan handles intakes, sets direction, and oversees work, collaborating closely with professionals managing files from inception to resolution. The firm assists with both corporate insolvency and restructuring, as well as owner-operated businesses where corporate issues often intersect with personal guarantees, tax liabilities, and broader concerns.

He is also engaged in stakeholder advisory and dispute-resolution matters, including situations in which the firm is court-appointed to serve as an independent, neutral party between feuding shareholders or family members.

He also participates as a panellist at industry conferences, including the Distressed Real Estate Conference. Recently, Bryan was awarded the Markus Cohen, Q.C. Memorial Award for Excellence in Franchise Law for the paper, “Underwater: Managing Insolvency and Bankruptcy in Franchise Systems,” he co-authored with Craig Mills.
